Their vision is to encourage everyone to visit and the Garrick theatre to be the heart of the community. Looking at what they have planned for the first half of 2016 there really is something for everyone.

They are opening up the Garrick like never before with a Community Stage encouraging performers to showcase their talents The Community Stage is open to applications from groups and individuals, offering you the chance to perform in the heart of Lichfield. 

Selected acts and groups will be given a slot on the Community Stage, usually before or after a theatre/studio performance download application here.

Introducing Family Days at The Garrick, brand new for kids of all ages join the Garrick team every month. There will be family shows every month, a comedy school for kids, arts & crafts, poetry workshops, story reading and even a dressing up corner!

You'll be able to book behind the scenes tours to see how the many professional productions are created, explore backstage, peek into the dressing rooms and meet their technical team who put it all together! This season the Lichfield Garrick will be intrroducing a brand new monthly programme showcasing some of the UK's most exciting and critically acclaimed emerging artists and theatre companies - right here in Lichfield!

There will be a new Garrick Gallery which they are offering to local artists to display and promote their work to thousands of annual visitors that come to the Garrick every year.

There will be a Lichfield Community Musical during next year's Lichfield Festival. For the first time a cast of talented local performers will join the theatre's professional production team to present Melvyn Bragg and Howard Goodhall's award-winning British musical The Hired Man.
