After the overwhelming success of the first series of the BBC's programme 'Operation Hospital Food', celebrity chef James Martin is going to be working with a hospital in Birmingham, to help them transform their menu.
The BBC will be filming with James Martin at Lichfield Farmers' Market on Thursday 4 October from 10am.
Phil Jeffrey, the producer of the show, commented: "James wants to win the hearts and minds of hospital staff by introducing them to fresh ingredients from local suppliers. He has a huge passion for using local produce and introducing this into the hospital’s menu, which will in turn help to support the local economy.
Visiting Lichfield's Farmers' Market will allow James to show the staff the variety of fantastic local produce that can be found on their doorstep."
Lichfield's Farmers' Market takes place on the first Thursday of every month (except January) and is run by Lichfield City Council. To find out more visit www.lichfield.gov.uk
