There will be a free tea party taking place at Shortbutts Park on Sunday 14 August, from 2pm to 4pm.
There will be tea, cake and more on the day. It will also be an opportunity to bounce around ideas about how to make the park even better, using the remaining funding.
From September, lots of bulbs will be planted and dog bins installed in the park. At the afternoon tea party, the council will be discussing ideas for how to make the park richer in wildflowers, butterflies, birds and other wildlife.
It will also be a chance for park users to tell the council what other improvements they would like to see - such as whether they want picnic tables, benches, better signage or anything else.
Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said: “We’re delighted the new playground is proving so popular and that lots more people are now enjoying Shortbutts Park. This tea party is a way to celebrate this fantastic park as a community, and a good opportunity for local people to tell us how we can make it even better.”
