A natty piece of advice from the wonderful George Clarke, akin to my own approach;

....."Keep it simple. On The Home Show we clear everything out so people can understand the spaces they live in. Rather than giving your home a straight-forward makeover, think about how you can reconfigure the area. It might be just that you move a door so you can reposition furniture better. Or, you could take a wall down to get rid of your formal dining room."......

don't make things too tricky for yourself by over complicating the situation, the way you use the space you are designing should be the pivotal piece of information that everything else develops from, understanding your space is a very powerful notion and if you can't get to grips with it, well then just give us a call,
