Lent Worship at Lichfield Cathedral
Daily throughout Lent, the offices of Morning and Evening Prayer will be said or sung at 7.30am and 5.30pm respectively (3.30pm on Sundays), and the Eucharist celebrated at 8am and 9.30am each weekday (12noon on Saturdays). Why not join us as part of your Lenten observance?
Ash Wednesday (February 22) – the beginning of Lent is marked by the following services:
Eucharist 9.30am (for the Cathedral School, but all are welcome) and 7.30pm.
Traditionally on this day a cross is marked on the forehead in ash as a sign of repentance in preparation for Easter. Evensong is sung at 5.30pm.
