After 40 years as a professional musician, he is still ploughing the same furrow of quality song-writing, stirring musicianship, and comedy and humour that has set him apart from his peers, and held him in high esteem.
An outstanding whistle player and guitarist, his songs are powerful, hugely moving, warm, humane, and honest, and have allowed him a career that has seen him perform all over the world.
His songs touch on social issues, which are still as relevant today as when they were first written. As a protest singer, he addresses topics that many performers would find difficult to approach.
Lichfield Arts Director Brian Pretty said: ‘ His concerts always attract large audiences... If you don’t want to miss a night of high quality musicianship and entertainment that will make you think, I would suggest you buy your tickets soon to avoid disappointment’.
