There was plenty of fun to be had on the day, with lots of games and activities, such as running on water inside huge inflatable balls, go-karting, a round on a 9-hole golf course, hoard-themed metal detecting, tennis coaching taster sessions and much more.
There was also a teddy arena, where children entered their bears into the best dressed teddy competition. Three-year-old Nancy Frances won the first prize with her pirate teddy, called Pirate Pete. Kaitlan Jarvis (age 5) won second prize with her teddy dressed in Spanish costume, and Marni Lambert (age 3) won third prize with her teddy dressed for a swim.
Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure Services, said: “We’re delighted that, despite the odd rain shower, lots of people came to Beacon Park to join in what was a thoroughly fun day.”
