Lichfield Arts presents the Lichfield Blues & Jazz Festival, a celebration of blues & jazz music, as well as all about having a good time!
Taking place on the 24th - 26th June, the festival brings in some of the finest blues & jazz musicians from the midlands and further, the line-up is packed with talent.
Blues fans can enjoy the superb guitarist Matt Schofield, sparking blues of Steve Ajao, Rebecca Downes, who is blowing the British Blues scene completely upside down, with the masterful Kent Duchaine appearing on the Sunday.
Jazz fans will sample some of the finest Midlands talent with Tim Amann Xtet, 19 piece Birmingham Jazz Orchestra, the swing of the Callum Roxburgh Orchestra, and the talented Nick Dewhurst quintet.
These are complimented by an array of top British musicians with the Steve Waterman Quartet, fabulous bass guitarist Fred 'Thelonius' Baker with the one and only Zappatistas led by John Etheridge closing the festival.
There will be a fine mix of concerts, workshops and street bands plus performances in other artistic forms, so it really is a weekend for everyone!
The festival will be spread throughout Lichfield, with performances taking place in many of Lichfield’s venues from Wade Street Church, The George Hotel, Lichfield Guildhall, as well as many fine pubs and cafe bars.
