Everyone is invited to get into the festive spirit at this year’s Lichfield Christmas Fayre which takes place in the city centre on Sunday 13 December from 10am to 4pm.
The fayre will feature lots of stalls where shoppers can browse for Christmas treats, there will also be lots of free street entertainment, including Lichfield Mysteries who will be performing the Nativity on the Market Square at 2pm. Musicians from Nether Stowe School will also be carol singing, and there will even be clog and Morris dancers.
Children can enjoy fairground rides, visit Santa in his grotto, can have a bounce on a bouncy castle, and get their face painted for free.
Jan McCarthy, from Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce, said: “The Christmas Fayre is a great place to do your Christmas shopping, while enjoying the atmosphere and all the free entertainment. The city centre will be closed to traffic, and there should be a real street carnival feel to the event, so join us for a wonderfully festive day.”
And if you are interested in holding a stall or are street entertainers interested in performing on the day it’s not to late to get involved, please contact 01543 373015 to find out more.
The Christmas Fayre is organised by Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and is supported by Lichfield District Council’s Visit Lichfield and partners across the city.
And don’t forget to pick up your free What’s On at Christmas brochure from the Tourist Information Centre in the Lichfield Garrick to find out what’s going on over the festive period.
