The service was a seasonal thank you for all that is done for Lichfield – a celebration and thanksgiving for everyone and everything that sustains the economic, voluntary and public life of Lichfield.

A host of ‘Community Champions’, nominated for their hard work and community spirit by friends and colleagues from all across the City were invited to attend as ‘guests of honour’ at the event.

During the service a presentation was also made by the Very Reverend Adrian Dorber, Dean of Lichfield to Nina Dawes as she stepped down as Chief Executive of Lichfield District Council.

Led by the Cathedral Choir, the congregation enjoyed an opportunity to sing well-loved carols, and immediately following the event, everyone enjoyed festive mince pies and refreshments kindly sponsored by local solicitors, Keelys (of Dam Street, Lichfield).

The Very Reverend Adrian Dorber, Dean of Lichfield said of the service: “This was a wonderful way for the Cathedral to say thank you to all who make Lichfield a special place to live and work in. We were delighted to see so many of our dedicated ‘Community Champions’ and to be able to welcome representatives from across the City at this annual event.

We would also like to thank Keelys Solicitors for their continued support in making this event such a success”.
