Lichfield Food Festival

The first Lichfield Food Festival will be held on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of September 2012 at The  Garrick Theatre and Guild Hall.

This will be a free event and a chance to see some of the wonderful food and

drink being produced locally.

Worth Brothers of Lichfield and Derby will be hosting 'The Vineyard in the Sky' at

The Lichfield Garrick where they will be matching wines to the celebrity cookery demonstration.

The studio theatre will be home to artisan food producers and food artists whilst

the Guild Hall will house the local micro breweries and wine merchants.

On Saturday Anthony Worrall-Thompson will demonstrate in the main theatre

and on Sunday evening John Torode will give his show in the main theatre.

Tickets are on sale for £25 per show or £45 for the two.

During both days there will be a series of free cookery demonstrations from

local chefs including Simon Smith (photograph below). Most of you will recognise Simon from Thrales which he successfully ran for over 25 years with his wife Alison.

There will be a wine and beer trail which will held in various bars and restaurants around town.

Local restaurants will be supporting the 'Dine around the world for £10' which will be a showcase for the wealth of international food served in Lichfeld.
