In a beautiful display of unity, we proudly introduce you to our newest star, "Baby David," a pint-sized mammal lovingly named after our theatre’s iconic namesake, David Garrick. Baby David is set to become the star of the show!
But there's more to this story! Our spirited Garrick community team is hosting a grand paint party, and YOU are cordially invited! We're reaching out to the incredible community groups that have shared the spotlight with us over the past 20 years. Together, we'll give Baby David a coat of colours that's as bright and welcoming as the smiles we've shared.
Each brushstroke will be a unique thumbprint, a vibrant symbol of the incredible contributions these groups have made in shaping our beloved theatre. Just as our theatre is a tapestry woven with community threads, Baby David will wear a coat adorned with imprints that celebrate and recognise the heart and soul of our community.
Our CEO and Artistic Director Daniel Buckroyd, is thrilled to be a part of this creative venture. He shares, "It's a privilege to be part of this project, celebrating St Giles and the Garrick's 20th anniversary with such a colorful canvas of community unity."
Here's your cue to join the cast: if you've played a role in our journey over the past two decades and wish to add your artistic touch to this heartwarming tale, please reach out to our community team at education@lichfieldgarrick.com. You're the star we're looking for!
Mark your calendars – Baby David's transformation will take place Thursday 11th to Friday 12th January right here at Lichfield Garrick Theatre. Get ready for a heartwarming spectacle of colours, smiles, and the promise of a future filled with community magic!
