The Sharks were on fire following their half term break!
After a week off for half term the Sharks showed no signs of being rusty as Nathan Ray got them off to a flying start just 49 seconds into the game when he finished an impressive run by smashing the ball past the helpless Stags keeper.
The conditions were damp and the ball zipped off the grass making the game high tempo and at times threatened to cause problems for both defences.
Sharks had numerous chances in the first half but didnt seem to able to find a way past the in form Stags keeper who made three excellent saves to keep his team in the running and the scoreline at 1-0 at half time.
Again the Sharks started the second half brightly but Stags fought hard to stay in the game until the 24th minute when Liam Kelly capitalised on a mix up in the box and fired home from close range to put the Sharks two up.
A mazy run from Rio Young, who took on 4 Stags players, nearly resulted in another goal but he was unlucky to see his shot rebound back in to play off the post.
Just two minutes later Nathan Ray added to his impressive haul for the season with a second for the day before Josh Taylor put the game firmly out of reach of the Stags in the 30th minute making it 4 nil to the Sharks.
Not to be out done the Stags pulled back a good goal of their own, in the 38th minute, breaking well on the counter attack and finding the Sharks defence caught short.
The scoring wasn't finished there though and Jimmy Horton met a good cross with a powerful header, in the 39th minute, that beat the keeper for a 5th and final time.
MOTM; Rio Young – Solid performance both defensively and going forward
