Matt Schofield returns to the Guildhall
Lichfield Arts continues its programme of bringing the best blues performers to Lichfield when the award winning Matt Schofield returns to the Guildhall on Sunday 13th November.
Recently voted Blues Matters Writer Poll Best Guitarist 2011 and described by many critics as the best blues guitarist to emerge in recent years. The trio is completed by Kevin Hayes drums, and ‘stonking steaming’ Hammond Organ Jonny Henderson. With their huge sound, multi-layered infectious delivery they are unlike any thing else on the current British Blues Scene. They have compared to Cream and Jimi Hendrix but it their own powerhouse sound and driving rhythms that make them stand out from the crowd.
Lichfield Arts Director Chris Newcombe said “They are a fantastic power trio who must be amongst the best 3-piece bands to come out of the UK.” He added that fans should purchase there tickets asap as the concert looks like being a sell out!”
