 Thanks from Midland Karting!

Visitors and competitors raised over £2,500, with the total figure expected to be higher at the final count.

On the day endurance races were won by Lee's Plastering & Martin Norton and team. Kerrang! radio presenters also raced during these events alongside other corporate teams.

The event was opened at 2pm by Kerrang! presenter Alex Baker, who officially started a great day.

Bands Against the wheel, Clocktower, Applejuice Box and L.O.S.T played throughout the evening and the night concluded at 10pm.

Visitors had a great range of stalls to peruse, selling everything from hats to remote control helicopters, glitter tattoos and Caribbean punch!

This will be a regular event every year, as Garry Mitchell commented: ‘We’ve run events in support of Help for Heroes and Cash for Kids this year and will be continuing to work with charities in 2012. We’re hoping we can continue to help support these brilliant causes.’

Midland Karting is offering a Christmas party experience with a difference this year at their F1 style karting circuit at Fradley Park, just outside Lichfield. With Christmas menus on offer, karts that can reach speeds of 45mph and a lucky dip prize for event winners, it’s a great way to celebrate the festive season.
