Several episodes of The Travelling Auctioneers featured auctions filmed in Staffordshire, with cataloguing and logistics provided by Richard Winterton Auctioneers of Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton.
Restoration maestro and star of the Bafta-nominated The Repair Shop, Will Kirk, teams up with auctioneering expert and presenter Christina Trevanion (Antiques Road Trip, Bargain Hunt) for the programme, a new format created and produced by STV Studios for BBC One Daytime.
Launching on BBC One at 4.30pm on October 31 and airing every weekday for three weeks, The Travelling Auctioneers sees the pair take their bespoke mobile auction house and workshop out on the road across the UK.
Along the way, they meet people with inspiring stories, unearth hidden gems and turn unwanted items into winning lots – with one lucky couple making more than £9,000.
Special auctions filmed included those at Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent last November and at Stafford Castle in April 2022, with Richard Winterton Auctioneers providing cataloguing expertise, logistics and management of the sales.
Richard Winterton said: “It was great to team up with Will, Christina and The Travelling Auctioneers team.
“The show is all about uncovering hidden treasures and that’s exactly what we do every day of the week, so it was a perfect fit for us.
“We’re looking forward to watching the series and are sure viewers will find it fascinating.”
Episodes involving Richard Winterton Auctioneers include the debut show on October 31 plus programmes airing on November 10 and 16.
All episodes will also be available to stream on BBC iPlayer the same day.

The family firm is based at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Fradley Park, has another auction house in the neighbouring Staffordshire town of Tamworth and has just opened a unit in Burton Market Hall offering valuations every Monday 10am-1pm.
