In February 2011, Lichfield District Council held a series of workshops, so people living in the district’s larger rural villages could put forward their ideas for how their areas could be improved in the future.
The council is now hoping lots of people from the villages of Alrewas, Mile Oak, Fazeley, Little Aston, Armitage with Handsacre, Shenstone and Whittington will once again give their views at follow-up exhibitions this September and October.
Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said: “A big thank you to everyone who came to our rural workshops and gave us their views. We had lots of useful feedback, which we have now compiled.
“Whether or not villagers made it to any of our past consultation workshops, we’re still keen to hear their views about the ideas that have been put forward by local people.
“The information we gather will help inform our plans for how the area could be improved - from local jobs and access to services, through to housing needs and leisure activities.”
