The historic Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum house on the Market Square will be opening its doors on Sunday 27th November from 3.30pm - 6pm, providing activities and festive refreshments to help the crowds warm up while waiting for Santa and the big switch on.
Always a popular start to Lichfield Christmas calendar, the Museum will again be holding a late night costumed opening including trails, lantern-making activities and a great view of the City being illuminated from the Market Square.
Mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate will be available with all proceeds supporting the Museum and there’s also a chance to win a fantastic Christmas hamper. Entrance and activities are free to everyone, so just drop-in!
For more details on either event call 01543 264972, email sjmuseum@lichfield.gov.uk, visit www.samueljohnsonbirthplace.org.uk or pop into the Museum on the corner of the Market Square from 11am – 3.30pm daily.
