How LED replacement lamps can save you money!!!

How many of you have halogen down lights at home or work? (GU10s for the more technical of you!)
If so have a look at the following calculations:
10 x GU10 50W lamps turned on for approx. 2hrs per day average (more in winter and weekends, less in summer)
10 x 50W = 500W per hr = 1kWhr of power per day @ approx £0.17 per day x 365 days = £62.05 per year
Average life of each lamp = 1,000hrs so need to replace them at least once every 18 months based on above consumption (most of you will think less as supermarkets generally sell inferior quality lamps!)
Therefore factor approx £20 per year in replacement lamps (based on £3 per lamp purchase price)
Total £82.05 per year just to run 1 or two rooms!!!!!!!!
SOLUTION!!!
Replace these lamps with 4W LED replacement lamps
10 x 4W = 40W per hr = 0.08kWhr of power x 365 days = 29.2kWhr x £0.17 = £4.96 per year
Average life of each lamp = 30,000hrs plus, so replace every 30yrs!!!
OK, yes these lamps cost more, approx £10 each, but based on above figures the £100 investment will be paid back within 15 months and thereafter will save £77 per year!
IF YOU HAVE MORE OF THESE LAMPS, RUN THEM LONGER IN YOUR BUSINESS OR PAY MORE FOR YOUR ELECTRICITY THE FIGURES MULTIPLY!
e.g. 20 at 3hrs cost £186.15 to run and £60 to replace per year, total £246.15
Investment £200, running cost £14.89! SAME AS CURRENT SPEND & SAVING £224.59 PER YEAR THEREAFTER!!!!
In addition those of you who have these in a home office or work may find you suffer from eye strain or headaches? LED lamps can eliminate these problems. Finally, they come in 3 different light outputs...warm white, cool white and daylight!
