Free Thermal Insulation
Following its free cavity wall and loft wall insulation offer, the local authority is now offering residents, who live in homes with solid walls, the chance to line their walls with special thermal insulation.
Qualifying homeowners can now order two rolls of Sempatap Thermal, adhesive and installation instructions for free, until 31 March 2012. Usually selling at around £225 a roll, the insulation is applied like wallpaper, and only needs to go on the inside of exterior walls.
The offer is available to Lichfield District owner occupiers that are over 60 years of age, or disabled, or have any children under the age of 16 living in their home and in receipt of a benefit - such as child tax credit, council tax benefit, income support or attendance allowance.
If your household does not quality for the offer, but you are still interested in buying a roll of internal wall lining, the council, through the West Midlands Warmer Walls Project, is also offering Sempatap Thermal insulation at a cut price of £169.20 a roll.
