Last year we were treated to an amazing programme of events in Lichfield. This year we’re being treated to our returning favourites as well as new and exciting ventures!
Saturday 1st July:
Cars in the Park - The always popular car show is back in Beacon Park. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just want an enjoyable day out, Cars in the Park is a great way to spend the weekend. Browse the hundreds of cars that all vary in style.
Burntwood Wakes Festival - Featuring a whole range of attractions, including a fun fair, entertainment, stalls and more, the Burntwood Wakes is a fun, fulfilling and fantastic day out for everyone to enjoy.
Friday 7th July – Sunday 9th July:
Fuse Festival - Venture down to Beacon Park for Lichfield Arts’ biggest festival – Fuse. Expect a programme packed full of entertainment, musical talent from across the UK and Europe, a workshop programme to suit every member of the family and more over the weekend.
Friday 7th July – Saturday 15th July:
Lichfield Festival - Bringing the best artists both nationally and internationally to the heart of the UK, the Lichfield Festival celebrates classical music, dance, drama, film, jazz, literature, poetry, visual arts and world music.
Saturday 8th July:
Florette Festival Market – Come down to Lichfield Cathedral where around 130 artists and craftspeople from across the region whose stalls you can browse. Also to enjoy is some entertainment from local performers throughout the day.
Friday 14th July – Sunday 16th July:
Lichfield Fringe Festival - A new addition to Lichfield’s programme of summer events, the Lichfield Fringe Festival is an exciting new festival, bringing the best in music, comedy, street theatre and more!
Saturday 15th July - Sunday 16th July:
Outdoor Cinema at Market Square - From 10.00am on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July, Lichfield’s Market Square will be converted into an all seated free open air cinema with 300 deckchairs. Over the free weekend, they will be showing live sporting events including the Wimbledon Finals, The British Grand Prix and family films.
Monday 31st July – Saturday 5th July:
The Dreaming - Following on from the success of 2016 Community Musical The Hired Man, the Lichfield Garrick's new Community Musical is The Dreaming, a musical version of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Be sure not to miss this!
Saturday 26th August – Monday 28th August:
Lichfield Food Festival - Lichfield becomes all about food in this weekend celebrating everything there is to love about food. Showcasing some of the top chefs from across the region, as well as stalls with some of your favourite local restaurants, it’s enough to whet anyone’s appetite!
Saturday 2nd September:
Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park – The perfect way to end the summer, the Lichfield Proms promises to bring an evening you won't forget. With dining, live classical music and fireworks, grab your picnic blankets, Union flags and end the summer in style at Beacon Park!
Don’t worry, the fun doesn’t end there – there’s plenty more events throughout autumn and winter to enjoy, including the Lichfield Heritage Weekend and of course this years’ panto – Aladdin!
