Taxpayers receiving statements in August can pay tax late

The tax authority has failed to issue all the self assessment statements that it should have issued to taxpayers in July, and will issue the remainder in August. Those who receive their statement in August should still pay the tax due as soon as they can, but won’t be asked to pay interest on the tax due on this (their second payment on account) unless they still haven't paid it more than 30 days after they receive their statement.

If you need any advice on Self Assessment call Leon Stephens at Brookes Stephens Chartered Accountants on 01543 401027.
