Coach tour operators treated to a special guided tour of Lichfield City’s top tourist attractions to boost visitor numbers

Visit Lichfield, Lichfield District Council’s tourism team, held a ‘Familiarisation Visit’ for more than 40 coach tour operators on Thursday 19 April 2012.

The tour included operators from London, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Shropshire and more, who came along to find out about Lichfield City’s many tourist attractions.

The day-long taster tour included visiting Lichfield Cathedral, Erasmus Darwin House, Lichfield Heritage Centre, The Samuel Johnson Museum and the Lichfield Garrick & Tourist Information Centre.

During lunch, the group was also treated to presentations about Staffordshire Regiment Museum and the National Memorial Arboretum.
