Bobby Davro and a host of his showbiz friends take you back to the golden days of light entertainment at the Lichfield Garrick on Saturday 3rd March. Swing With Laughter! recreates the glorious evenings of Saturday night variety when families would gather around the television to watch Bobby in his own Saturday night Variety series or as a regular on shows such as Copy Cats and Live from Her Majesty's. Bobby, who is recognised worldwide as one of the great British all-round entertainers, brings the very best in song, dance, impressions and comedy to the Lichfield audience.
Bobby is joined on stage by singer, songwriter, comedian and entertainer Kenny Lynch OBE; Carry On star and West End leading lady Anita Harris and the multi-talented impressionist Jessica Martin. Britain's original tribute to The Rat Pack, now celebrating its record breaking 21st Anniversary completes this star-studded line-up.
The great variety shows were known for having superb bands and stunning dancers and Swing With Laughter! will not disappoint in either of those departments, with the swinging Buddy Greco All-stars Band under the direction of Mac Shone and the sensational L.A Showgirls joining the cast on stage.
Whilst we may not be able to watch such stars as Sir Bruce Forsyth, Morecambe and Wise or Andy Williams in our living rooms every weekend anymore… Swing with Laughter! allows you to experience the magic of variety and true entertainment greats one more time in the safe hands of Bobby and Co.
