We Love Lichfield!
It was an absolute pleasure this morning to be invited along to the first presentation of cheques to the local good causes who have benefited from the We Love Lichfield Fund.
Patron Simon Price, from the local company Arthur Price Factory Shop, began the proceedings by reading out a brief description of each of the 12 benefactors, who then each received a cheque from the Fund.
This is the first presentation since the launch of the campaign back in May and over £2500 has been raised locally and has now been given back into the District to help those less fortunate.
The following 12 groups each received a cheque :

Chasetown Women's Institute
1st Burntwood Scout Group
Christmas Day Together
Lichfield Gospel Choir
Step Forward Stroke Support Group
Garfore Riding for the Disabled
Fusion Credit Union
St Michael's PTA
We were hosted by the wonderful Tommy Coakley and team at Darnford Moor Golf Club who provided the refreshments.
If you would like to make a difference to the We Love Lichfield Fund here at thebestoflichfield we are raising money through our Peel2Save discount card and for every card you purchase from the Lichfield Tourist Information Office we will donate £5 to the Fund.
So pop down to town today and start saving money with some great local businesses and let's boost the We Love Lichfield Fund to support those less fortunate in the District.
