Join in the fun on the next group cycle ride.

This is the second bike ride in Lichfield District Council, Freedom Cycles and Jigsaw’s 2012 series of Cycle Rides for All.

Cycle leaders led the group on a gentle ride through Whittington, stopping to watch the Lichfield half marathon enroute and for refreshments at the village café, Dollars and Doughnuts, which opened especially for the cyclists.

Appropriate for all ages and abilities, the next outing in the series is an 18 mile round-trip to the National Memorial Arboretum on Sunday 3 June.

“We trialled a new route at the weekend and it went really well. Our team of trained cycle leaders made sure everyone felt safe. We attracted cyclists of all ages - from toddlers through to senior citizens, and it was a really social and healthy day out in the countryside,” commented Debby Whiting from Freedom Cycles – who checked all the bikes were road-worthy before the ride set off.

To join the rides, just bring your bicycle, safety helmet, a picnic and yourself to Freedom Cycles in Lichfield at 10am on the first Sunday of the month. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information contact Freedom Cycles on 01543 411633 or Jigsaw on 01543 253666.
