Wintry Walk on Gentleshaw Common
This wonderful wintry walk takes place on Gentleshaw Common on Sunday 18 December, from 3pm to 4.45pm
The two-mile circular walk will take in the common’s forest, heaths and marshes. It will also include a hot drink and a mince pie.
Chris Walsh said: “This walk is for all abilities and is a good opportunity to be guided around the wintry common. The sunset is really beautiful at this time of year, so I hope lots of people will join me in seeing it. Please remember to wrap up warm and wear sturdy shoes or boots, and bring a torch.”
The walk will set off from The Windmill Public House in Gentleshaw, and costs £2.50.
