Caroline and I have been wined and dined very generously and hospitably these past two months. It has been good to share memories of our time in Lichfield. Everyone has been kind and appreciative. We feel thoroughly relished! Thank you, Cathedral Team, for organizing and orchestrating the grand supper on 3rd February. Thanks to all who came and to all who shared in worship on February 19th, the liturgical leave-taking.
Works to restore the badly damaged central spire at Lichfield Cathedral have begun thanks to funding received from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The 12-month project totaling almost £1m aims to restore the structure, reopen the space to visitors, and explore what the iconic landmark means to its local residents.
