Everyone should pay a visit, it is unique.
Set in the counrtyside and with river walks and vast areas of woodland, it pays tribute to all our fallen war heroes over the generations.
On site it is possible to enjoy a meal or simply a drink at the restaurant. The range of food is improving, but you are not visiting for that reason.
The Arboretum is there to pay ones repects and it is a living growing entity.

Easy to park and staff welcoming at the door. There's a £3 parking fee for the day.

The Arboretum is free to walk around but there are other activities available that you need to pay for. The grounds are very well kept and there's probably enough to see to pass on a good hour or two.

There's a cafe/restaurant on site and gift shop for browsing around filled with lovely poppy themed goods.

Have been before, but not for a couple of years. There as been lots of work carried out since then. The restaurant has been enlarged bright and spacious. It's clean and airy. The choice of food and drinks are reasonable. Lots more to see in the grounds and this time found the Corp where my husband and I were stationed. We would recommend a visit there are lots for everyone to see and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice visit apart from the weather. Many memorials commemorating people who have died in all wars since the First World War to present day. Both large and small memorials set in hundreds of acres of land. Too many to see on a cold day but will go back. Very good restaurant serving a variety of food hot and cold. Nice gift shop.

We always wanted to visit the National Memorial Arboretum and it exceeded our expectations. It took us some 4 hours to walk the site and see most of the memorials, some of which were very poignant in today's world.
Land train available for those less able bodied.
Good value restaurant and of course free, although I would hope most donate generously.

A lot to see and you need all day to appreciate the history and the memories and to pay your respects
Good provision for toilets and restaurants from snacks to full meals
The site has got better and better as the years pass and more memorials are put in, I live locally and have visited a number of times with visitors to my home and they are always impressed by the site

What a great place to visit so moving however. Don't go for the jacket potato at the restaurant it was feeble. £4.95 and we got a potato with a sprinkling of dry cheese on top and no salad (that would have been extra). I reckon the ingredients cost £0.50p sorry but it was poor.
Go and have a coffee in the coffee shop instead that was very good.

Was told by the owner of a cottage we rented this was a nice place to come and see and we were not disappointed. My partner was in a wheelchair at the time but we still managed to get around most of the grounds which was quite fascinating and very well presented. They also have a good restaurant and a charming little cafe which we found were not expensive. We would recommend it is very worth a visit.

As of when we first got there we thought we would go on a train trip around the grounds to see what our walk consisted of 12 pounds for this which I found a bit excessive for what we got after our train trip and buying a map for 3 pound we was displeased as the map really didn’t guide us after walking around the large grounds a stream walk went well and then after to restaurant and had good value curry and chips

A very well managed site with excellent signage, helpful and friendly staff and volunteers. ‘Free’ , although car park charges, charges for mobile scooters and land train made it a fairly expensive visit. Land train has informative commentary.
The only negative was the expensive and not particularly exciting lunch, which I regretted buying immediately. Restaurant was expensive overall.
The visit was extremely poignant and thought provoking.
