A place to remember and think about all those who have given their lives for our country during conflicts at home and abroad. Some quite moving monuments and words which express volumes. A large remembrance site so we'll manicured and well kept. Cafe restaurant on site. Free entry, donations accepted.
Long walk around the whole site which is all flat but there is a land train with commentary if you don't/can't walk that far.

Lichfield Garrick is very easy to find, parking is close and free after 6.30pm , good selection of local bars & restaurants . 25% off at the one opposite i noticed last night . The Garricks Green Room gets very crowded , i dont think everyone realises there are another two bars available on higher floors.
Staff always helpful, smiling and polite .
Brian Blessed was amazing, jaw dropping, fascinating and 10000% worth every penny !!

The weather was awful and some of the land was under water but that did not detract from this lovely peaceful place. It just makes me want to go back again! The site is lovingly tended and a wonderful memorial. There were people on hand to explain things and we had a very informative talk in the chapel. This building is beautiful and it must be very emotional to be there at 11am when there is a service. The restaurant is very good with reasonably priced food. The broccoli and Stilton soup was delicious..

What a wonderful, well planned place this is. It's so quiet even though it's always been busy when we have been. The monuments and dedication plaques are both emotional and fascinating structures. The whole place takes hours to complete and really don't think it could all be seen in one day. The restaurant has some nice food but rather pricey so take your own food and drink as there are picnic tables outside the restaurant. You will not be disappointed with a visit to here.

The National Memorial Arboretum is a beautiful and peaceful place. The memorials are just amazing and are not just for the military but for other organisations too. The story teller carving in the chapel is a must see and the volunteers are so enthusiastic and interesting and will spend time answering your questions. There is such a lot to see and the restaurant serves very good meals and refreshments - the scones are particularly good. All the staff in the restaurant, shop and other areas are so friendly and make you feel really welcome. Keep up the great work NMA.

This is quite a new site and it is always having something added to it. It is vast so I would recommend the trolly ride around the site with interesting dialogue at each place you slowed down . It is not easy to walk up the steps if you are not good on your feet. The restaurant is very well used. Not too expensive, but we took a picnic. The weather has to be good because it is very open and not much cover for rain. Nice interesting shop, lots to browse. Clean toilets

This was a nice day out, because it was a gloriously sunny day. However, there wasn't a lot of information about the individual memorials which is quite disappointing.
There's a lot more that they could do here, to make it more interesting for people who are perhaps going with not a great deal of information, and a map would be a really nice extra, as it's easy to get lost and difficult to find certain memorials if you were going for something in particular.
The restaurant didn't have a lot of warm vegetarian options as well which was quite disappointing.

We went as we were touring the area, so glad we did. Our visit coincided with the 35th Anniversary service for the Falklands war so we saw the Royal Marines Band and the veterans which added to the poignancy. We also took a buggy tour (NB it is a huge site) our guide Susan was first class there is also a tram tour which covers different areas. There is so much to take in you really need a day at the least. There is a self-service restaurant which is good quality and a coffee shop.

We had wanted to visit for some while, we choose to make the long journey when August was at its wettest. But somehow this added to the atmosphere of this place. So many emotional sights. It's hard to explain the feelings, a visit is essential. The volunteers are fantastic, ready to guide and explain whenever needed. The service at eleven was beautiful and very well attended as I'm sure it always is. The restaurant is clean and bright and the food very good. Again such lovely volunteers. One day we will return.

We just did not know what to expect but were "blown away" by the number (350, I think) and quality of the memorials. Some very harrowing displays in the "Far East" section but they have to be seen.
We booked seats on the land train and were so glad we did as this is the only way to see all the memorials and know the history of them via the running commentary.
Brilliant day out which we finished by taking refreshments in the superb restaurant.
