The NMA has always been an interesting venue, but since the reopening and multi million pound upgrade it is now absolutely amazing. You can go there for a whole day and still not see or experience everything. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and the new tour with the hand held radio commentary is superb. Some of the memorials certainly make you stop and think.
The restaurant is excellent serving snacks, meals and drinks and you can book for Sunday lunch too.

I took along my elderly mother as we had been wanting to visit for sometime. There is a large carpark for which there is a charge, visitor centre, restaurant as well as the Memorial Gardens. The area is still being developed, which I guess will be permanently ongoing. The area is large and it takes a wee while to walk around, both on the well marked paths and grassy areas. It is quite exposed so it is adviseable to wrap up well on cold days. I specifically went along to see the memorials for The Falklands War and the WRNS. I would definitely visit again.

This is only a few miles from us, so we have been a few times. It does have a restaurant, which can get extremely busy. However that's not why you visit here. The place is big, 150 acres, so if there is a potential of a little rain, make sure you dress accordingly. Its not a play ground, its a very thought provoking place that is carefully and lovingly cared for. Its a place that all should attend and time taken to think of others who have done so much for us from different areas of our services.

We visited the National Memorial Arboretum today and even in the face of biting cold wind you cannot fail to be moved by the many different ways, the fallen in all of the services, both military and civilian are remembered. The Arboretum is well laid out and the avenues lead you to the many different memorials. Firm paths to most areas make it very accessible for push chairs and wheelchairs. A well stocked restaurant provides a welcome rest bite from the March chill, especially the hot chocolate drinks ...

This is a must for ages young n old, I go here every year to pay my respects to many of my army comrades who have past away. My regiment has it own memorial on this site. There're is a large cafe come restaurant, loads of parking, disability parking next to entrance, free entry to site. Kids play area. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead. Pick up dogs mess or else. You need a full day to explore. You will enjoy the exspeience.

A pleasant way to spend an afternoon in a peaceful place. A memorial to the fallen of many different disciplines. Excellent facilities and pleasant helpful staff. The restaurant was spacious and well stocked with tasty well presented/made food. Car parking was £3 all day. with free entrance (with suggested donation of £5). Extra £6 charges per adult for the land train which was an enlightening experience and informative. Just a pity there was no reduction for senior citizens for whom the land train is ideal.

What a wonderful place this is to remember our heroes, the land train is recommended for your first visit. We spent over 5 hours here and didn't get to see it all, we will deffinately be returning. The restaurant provided a very welcome cup of tea, you can also get full meals. There is also a very nice gift shop which sells poppy gifts. Its so peaceful and emotional,i felt the avenue of trees dedicated to sleeping babies and young children particularly sad.

Visited today (April 25th Anzac Day) for the first time. My reason for my visit was to attend the Gallipoli Commemorative & Anzac Day Service. I would like to thank everyone their for making my wife and me very welcome. Everybody their are so helpful & polite. As an ex member of the Australian army today is important to me, so again thank you.

We did not get the chance to get to see everything but will return in the near future as you need at least half a day to do it justice. Can also recommend the restaurant.

We have been wanting to go here for such a long time but never got round to it, today was the day. It’s a massive place to walk around, it’s absolutely beautiful too & so sad at the same time. We paid £3 to park & that is for all day. It’s also free to get in, although there are guided tours which you can pay for. There’s loads of places to sit & rest. There’s a cafe & restaurant. All in all we will go back as there’s such a lot to see. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone, young & old.

Four of us enjoyed a day out at the arboretum wandering round the hundreds of memorials to all people(& animals)involved in our countries' many conflicts since WWI.
The stories of heroism was humbling & made us realise even more-so what a debt we owe for our freedom. Its such a beautiful place with all the trees & flowers & the staff were very helpful & friendly.Great coffee shop as well as a restaurant. The train tour was very informative too.Great day out.
