Visited yet again and discovered something new although we've made numerous visits here already. Looked at the Far East and Sands memorials in particular and am in awe of the power of human endurance. Followed this with a visit to the Restaurant and made use of a voucher I'd spotted on the website for 2 main meals for £10 during January and February. Brilliant value for money with a melt in the mouth roast pork lunch. We have eaten here a number of times and have always been rewarded with a lovely meal and this certainly didn't disappoint!

I had wanted to visit for some time. I wasn't disappointed. Far from it. Following a late breakfast in the on site restaurant , we attended the 11:00 gathering in The Church which included a two minute silence. And a site briefing. Off to the 11:30 'Noddy Train.' This gave us an insight to the numerous memorials around the huge arboretum. We then returned to visit 'our special' one's. WRNS, RAF, Chindits and Burma Rail. As our day unfolded more and more visitors arrived yet the magic was never broken. A definite, must see,

The layout of the memorials and statues has been well spaced and thought out and appears accessible to all. Obviously a great deal of thought has gone into the entire grounds and it is immaculately presented both horticulturaly and in the variety of tributes to various regiments and campaigns. There is a serenity about the place despite there being many visitors on the day we attended. There is a restaurant as well as coffee tent and a well stocked shop. Entry is free other than a £3 parking charge, although on the day we attended the main car park was full and they did not appear to be charging for the nearby overflow car park. Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic visit to the National Memorial Arboretum!

The whole memorial has been carried out with respect, thought and pride for our fallen heroes.

The restaurant and gift shop both excellent and the staff were wonderful.

We treated ourselves to a golf buggy trip around the memorial which was hilarious, the lady had never done it on her own and after stopping for us to take a photograph her map blew out of the door and we were scrambling round to pick it up. Bless her!

A much recommended visit.

I went to the arboretum for a project I'm doing as part of my course I'd never been before it's a absolutely brilliant the staff are super friendly and so helpful with any questions you may have the whole site is very well looked after it takes a small army of people to keep it on operation they are very dedicated people and deserve to be recognised the restaurant is beautiful had a really nice lunch and took some brilliant photos I would recommend going on the train very good indeed from Jordan

We visited on recommendation from a friend and I have to say it was a very good and humbling day out. If you are not up to walking all round they do have a land train with commentary as well as guided buggy tours. You will need to go on a dry day as there is no shelter apart from gift shop, restaurant and tea room. It is very well laid out and the paths are very accessible. We were here for 4 hours and did not get to see everything. You can park all day for £3.00 and it is free to get in although you do pay for tours and train. Plenty of benches where you can sit and rest.

Over the years this is the 3rd visit and yet again even more to see. This time because it was a cold damp day we used the land train which was very good but could be improved by allowing you to get off and rejoin later so we could fully explore the bits too far for us to walk. The new visitors centre and restaurant was excellent with very good food and extremely helpful staff. Yet again it was another good visit but maybe some shelter from rain and some loos the far end of the site would be helpful.

Visited on a group outing . An amazing place paying respects to all those who has sacrificed their lives to keep the world safe. Had a walkabout to start. Would recommend a trip on train you get a commentary of memorials passed so can go back later walking. Staff friendly and helpful. When you have walked yourselves out. Visit restaurant . We had afternoon tea in founders room. Had plates of various sandwiches, fruit and cakes put tea or coffee . Staff friendly and helpful.
Well worth visiting.

I visited on a cold wet February morning and expected just to see loads of memorials and grave stones. However I took a buggy tour and found out so much about the site that I need to go back in the summer to spend more time there. You will not get to find out the information by waking round on your own.
My guide was Mike who was knowledgable and easy going.
There is a large free car park and entry is free too. There is a cafe/restaurant and a gify shop.
It surpised me just how much there was to see.

An amazing area honouring the many people who have given their lives, mainly in areas of conflict throughout the world.
A wonderful place to bring older children in order to reflect on the sacrifices made on their behalf.
Facilities are good. A nice restaurant provides good quality food at reasonable prices.
Entry is free ( A donation is suggested ) offering good value for money.
An excellent day out for families, those interested in architecture, horticulture and of course it's primary purpose to reflect on the sacrifice made over many years in order that we can enjoy the freedom we enjoy today.
