Visited on a wet and windy Saturday in May, must get there before 11.00 so you can give 2 minutes silence in the Chapel. We joined Peter our guide for a walk around the area visiting most of the arboretum, memorials of interest for the ex-service personnel amongst us, were pointed out so that you could revisit them at your leisure during the day.
Time available for a coffee or a meal in the restaurant was a welcome break during the day.

Excellent peaceful area with knowledgeable staff, keep up the good work

fee of £3.00 for car parking

We visited Lichfield on a chilly Monday in early March & were welcomed into the lovely warm Cathedral by a greeter.
This was a very breathtaking experience for us as we found it to be one of the finest Cathedrals we had visited in the country. We were particularly taken by the enthusiasm
of the staff on duty to help make our visit a memorable one.Nothing was too much trouble to them
There was a lot of activity going on with a gang of workman completing a complete rewiring of the building. The shop & restaurant is housed in a separate building across the close, which works to its advantage, helping to retain the atmosphere of the building to quiet worship and meditation. We greatly enjoyed our visit.

Visited on a Sunday, weather was great which was a bonus,Arboretum was easily accessed from the A50,on arrival there was plenty of car parking spaces and the price to park all day was very reasonable.
Entry is free to the Arboretum, access is via the the restaurant/shop area.
On arrival we had breakfast at the restaurant, the food was good and reasonably priced.
As for the site,it is superb, large, well laid out and a fitting memorial to the many who have given so much,we had a full day there wandering around, there is a lot to see and it is well worth a visit, there are areas where you can picnic and we took advantage of this.

We were fortunate to be able to visit the day following storm Doris when the wind had dropped and the sun shone. There is no entry fee only a £3 charge for parking.
It had been decided to start the visit using the road train, which at £5 each was good value as the commentary helps to orientate where to follow up later. In total we spent 3 hours in the grounds as there are numerous memorials that are not all military to view. Many of the memorial sculptures are outstanding.
The extensive grounds are well maintained and there is a modern visitor centre with cafe and restaurant.

Visited with my father on his 88th birthday. The staff were all very informative and helpful. Had a 45 minute buggy tour with Dennis who shared his knowledge and personal experiences with us. This was an excellent way to see and hear as much as possible in a short space of time.
You could easily spend a whole day here taking in all the different memorials. Excellent restaurant and shop.
Very spacious, clean and calming place. New memorials are being added all the time. Volunteers are the backbone.
Will return in the Summer to see more and experience the poppy field.

Enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds
Very humbling place. Well kept grounds, some monuments could do with a clean some are green with moss etc
Volunteers were extremely helpful and polite
Parking £3 all day and free entry although a voluntary contribution is asked for of £5 per person
Didn't eat in the restaurant but ordered hot drinks which we thought we pretty expensive for £5 two drinks out of a hot drinks machine not freshly made. Restaurant looked lovely and clean food did look nice with what other people were consuming
Over all a very enjoyable trip out

We decided to stay overnight as it would have involved over a two hour journey each way - we clearly made the right choice as there is so much to see and take in. If you decide to visit make sure you wear comfy walking shoes as it covers a massive area. Do not despair if you have mobility issues as you can:- Take the land train tour, take a buggy tour or rent a mobility scooter for the day.

The land train tour gives you a good overview for a later walk and the volunteer guides are extremely knowledgeable. There is a modern restaurant and café which cater for most tastes.

This has to be one of the most moving visits we have ever made anywhere. There is no entry charge other than the £3 carpark, but a voluntary contribution is possible. The site is huge and we spent three and a half hours and even then didn't see everything. The site is beautifully laid out and landscaped and covers the major historic events such as WW1 and 2, The Falklands and the Gulf campaigns. What is really nice is all the monuments to non combatants i.e. children and railway workers etc. There is a restaurant and a large shop and toilets set out around the site. This is a definite must see location.

On entering we received a very friendly welcome and as we suffer from disability's were advised to use the golf cart to view the site . this we then did after the service in the Chapel ( not to be missed ) and had a very pleasant tour of the grounds with a young lady explaining the various monuments .After a very good lunch in the Restaurant we had a ride on the train with a very nice commentary on what we saw. Finally we made our way to the Mound and as there are many steps up a golf trolley was requested and took us up and down . This is a Venue all should see and even if you are disabled they make it possible for all.

This is a place everyone should visit and pay homage to those gone before. It is a very peaceful place and you cannot help but be touched by the memorials. The Post World War 2 Memorial is awe inspiring. It is very thought provoking when you see how many names are entered here How many young people have made the ultimate sacrifice in the quest for peace. The gardens are immaculate showing great respect for those remembered here.
There is no charge to visit but a £3 car park charge, a minute amount to pay for a place such as this.
There is a restaurant and coffee shop and a lovely gift shop with 100% of sales going towards the care and upkeep of this very special place.
