We enjoyed our visit to Lichfield Cathedral because it very nice place to visit. The staff who is a gentleman in cathedral was so helpful to us and give us bit of history. The lady in shop is kind and respect us well. The building is very interesting anyway. We shall come back again. Happy blessing to the staff in Lichfield Cathedral

The sense of wonder as you enter Lichfield Cathedrals main doors is almost overwhelming.
To sit there with the hustle and bustle of life going on around you is so relaxing. From Saxon Church to modern day cathedral you can feel it the place is timeless. Look out for the bullet holes and cannon damage from the civil war. Just a lovely place to wonder spend time and meditate. Try and get there when the choir is practicing the harmonics are beautiful.

Could not see all of this magnificent cathedral as Evensong was about to begin. But enjoyed the wonderful singing in a virtually empty place. Friendly stewards. Superb to see from outside as well. Comprehensive gift shop.

It has been many years since we last visited the Cathedral. Forgotten just how beautiful it was! They have unearthed new treasures (the Lichfield Angel) which take pride of place in its treasury. They are hoping to expand their Staffordshire Hoard display in the future. The main stained glass was missing due to cleaning and preservation work. Once this has been returned we plan to visit again.

I found this cathedral a very spiritual place to visit. It has three spires and is very impressive from the outside. It was attacked by Cromwell's Roundhead's and the damage can still be seen. Charles II gifted money to restore parts when he ascended the throne. Inside it is magnificent and although the lady selling gifts called it 'homely' i would have to disagree. It's setting by the river is beautiful and Lichfield city centre is very pleasant to stroll around. There are several lovely tea rooms and eateries spaced around to satisfy all tastes. I will be going back again and to my readers i would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Visited a few times and this is most definitely one of the best cathedrals around. It is fascinating to explore the cathedral itself and the close. Well worth the visit.

As with all visits to cathedrals the sheer size and tranquility within is always welcome and a time to reflect on friends no longer with us. The stained glass windows are beautiful. The interior and exterior of the building are both in good repair and well worth a visit if you are in the area. Beautiful.
