A place to reflect and remember. Each memorial is as striking as the next, however the Shot At Dawn area brings it all home, individual names, Regiments and Corps. Young men who lost their lives to something not understood at the time.
It's a place that has to be visited at least twice to take it all in.

first time using this company and it won't be the last either . Fast replies to book in. Turned up when promised but the finish of the car is amazing , show room standard. Attention to detail on all areas.

Brilliant from start to finish. Superb customer service from Jess. Gav really genuine good guy who knows his stuff. Didn’t catch the two lads names who fitted the door as I was working during the fitting, but my wife said they were polite and professional.
Really chuffed and would highly recommend to anyone. Will be in touch soon for a new front door.
Thanks again 👍🏼

We paid for the private tour. Our guide Reece was a fountain of knowledge both about the arboretum and subjects related to it.
The arboretum is HUGE! I am soooo glad we did the tour. We had already chosen some of the memorials we wanted to see, but Reece also pointed out things we may have missed, like the Organ Donor butterfly memorial.
There were some games to play which connected to the commonwealth games.
These included archery and volleyball. Great to stretch the legs!
Lunch was included in our tour and it was smashing. Service and attention from the catering staff was great. We even got a tablecloth!
Reece explained all of the symbolism and meaning behind some of the memorials: namely the ‘’Shot at Dawn’’ memorial. He explained who the figure was based on and the reason for this young man being shot. He even pointed out the 6 conifers - which represent the firing squad.
He had the ability to speak to my 10 year old in teacher like way, asking questions, asking his opinions and getting him to try things like holding the hand of the ‘’A hand at Peace’’.
There is no way you would see the whole arboretum in a day! Even on the tour! Lots of memorials for things other than war!!
Greta place, amazingly knowledgeable and friendly staff.

One of the most iconic architecture I have seen in UK cathedrals. Amazing design both externally with epic details, and inside with grand design with high ceilings, stunning stain glass windows, art, sculptures and more. A very peaceful and well-maintained worship place to visit and a highly recommended experience. A must visit place.
