Great experience at Pool House today for our Pugs annual vaccinations. After previously using Pool House for an out of hours hospital, we have been trying to register here for a while but due to the pandemic this wasn’t possible. Now we are registered and couldn’t be happier. We saw Laurence today and he was brilliant with our girls. The appointment was also bang on time so no waiting around! Can’t fault them. Our experience is worlds away from that of our previous vets.

Would of given five stars unfortunately the coffee shop let the experience down . Tables full of used coffee cups, no attempt to clean up.
Two nice gentlemen there to assist in where to go. Plenty to see and wheelchair friendly and dog friendly.

I nice series of monuments to our brave armed service personnel.
I could only visit for 1 hour.. as closes at 5pm.. but still cost me £6 to park.. not reasonable I think.

We visited the NMA this week for the first time in a very long time. Since our last visit there are many new memorials and even more to see which have us a full day of exploring.

Pretty much whole arboretum is accessible to wheelchairs, scooters and buggy’s. There are scooters to hire if needed and there is a land train or golf carts for those who want a guide to the memorials. The only areas we couldn’t get to on the scooter was the ones higher up the grassy banks but they were close enough to see.
The cafe was brilliant, great quality food, plenty of choice and a selection of gluten free options available, including hot food.
There are plenty of toilets in the visitors centre and come toilets out in the arboretum.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, everyone feels like they are there to help. The staff in the cafe were particularly helpful, showing me the gluten free options available to me.
We got a map from the visitors centre for a donation of £2 but unfortunately it doesn’t list all of the memorials which is something we would have benefited from.
The car park was perfect for us, extra wide disabled spaces and easy to access. The car park was £4 when pre booked and we gave a donation online to contribute for our entry.
This is a fantastic place to visit, there is plenty to do and see. There is challenges and activities for little ones to do, there is even a toy and book library in the cafe to keep kids occupied over lunch.

We would thoroughly recommend the NMA to anyone and found the whole experience very memorable and emotive.
