Excellent. A lot to see in 1 go so definitely requires more than one visit.

Interesting, friendly , but not pushy staff. Liked the fake beach outside for kids! The £2 guide book isn't much use, very short, and many areas left me wondering what was there as not much explanation/ signage. BUT- it's an awe-inspiring space. Great that it's free entry still, so you can contribute, and buy stuff from the shop as we did. Definitely worth a visit, the whole space around the cathedral is lovely. I've recently visited Norwich and Lincoln cathedrals, I think Litchfield is as beautiful and has some fantastic medieval features ( paintings as well as the architecture and really ancient relics on display) but Lichfield is quieter and a much easier, more picturesque place to visit! Parking in town very easy and cheap. If you are near here you should definitely visit the town and cathedral.

Not just an historic place of worship with time and space for everyone to explore but also provides beautifully varied music and seasonal celebrations made interesting and enjoyable.
There is a coffee shop/restaurant over the road with toilet facilities.

The architecture of the Cathedral is simply stunning. It's free to enter but the ask for a donation. The stained glass windows are excellent. You can spend an hour inside and the same time outside. It is shopping in Litchfield.

To say this is my local cathedral, it's absolutely stunning and we definitely take it for granted living so near.
Surrounded by cafes and a lovely peaceful inside, it makes a lovely relaxing day out.

Lichfield is a lovely quaint place to visit. The cathedral is wonderful and tranquil to look around. After walk through beacon park. Try the cafes along the cobbled streets nearby

This was my first visit since my parents dragged me round as a child some forty years ago. The cathedral has been cleaned since, making the building even more impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed a really interesting couple of hours looking round as there is so much to see.
We also had a delicious afternoon tea in the cathedral Close.

Both inside and out, Lichfield Cathedral is a wondrous place to behold.

Seen from afar, it's three spires stand out magnificently, and the church loses none of its majesty up close.

It's easy to walk all the way around in the peaceful lanes and take it all in, with the front on the green particularly impressive.

Entry is free, although they will ask for a donation at the desk as you go in.

Inside, there is a lot to take in, with a spectacular nave and quire, as well as small chapels tucked away.

There is a lovely welcoming atmosphere and everyone seems at ease.

A quite wonderful Cathedral.
