I’ve been to Lichfield Cathedral many times - it’s a beautiful and atmospheric place.
However last night I went to see Lemar there and the sound quality was terrible. I’m not sure this type of venue is suitable for a very loud gig as it’s so echoey. The sound could have been improved by reducing the volume and Lichfield Cathedral should recommend this to visiting bands and sound engineers. Perhaps professional advice should be sought.

What a place. Could spend days there and still not see it all. Emotional and proud. 6 pound to park all day. Beautiful grounds and obviously plenty of history

My son and I visit most weeks to spend time at the tree of cherished memories where I have a leaf for my late husband. The Arboretum is such a beautiful peaceful place I especially love it along the river. Each time we visit we see something new.
Everyone that works there is helpful friendly and informative

Restrooms: Very clean and tidy. Always well stocked.

Dog-friendliness: Great walk for the dog. Wheelchair and buggie friendly. Need to keep dog on short lead. Some restricted areas. Child’s playground and armed forces memorial. Allowed in designated areas in restaurant. Plenty of outdoor seating

We were travelling from Coventry to Inverness and popped in here. We totally underestimated the amount of time we would need to explore. It's simply stunning! It's a vast area to cover and everywhere you look is a memorial of some sort. We both went our separate ways to explore and I got chatting to one of the lovely volunteers who guided me round the main memorial and some of the smaller ones. The information was detailed and I was teary several times. We only had a couple of hours but you would need a couple of days to explore thoroughly. The place is immaculate and gardens beautiful and well cared for. The staff and volunteers are just exceptional. Super friendly and so helpful. War is so unnecessary and devastating. This place shows that devastation yet it's also a family space. People of all ages coming together and you can feel the love all around you as you wander through the memorials and gardens. We will definitely be back and spend much more time contemplating. Such a beautiful and humbling place.

I didn't really know what to expect but it is a wonderful peaceful and quiet place to walk.
The memorials are numerous, varied and thought provoking. Each memorial is generally of a different design, making each one unique in their own way. There are plenty of places to sit and again they are designed differently.
Payment is only for the parking, which is easier to pay in advance. Please do pay extra to help support the site by paying the donation request.
If you have the stamina and the time, you can spend all day here.
A definite must for your UK bucket list.
