Honestly a very underrated cathedral in England. Not only is it the only three-spired cathedral in the UK, its exterior especially is built with the most attention to detail, and is always a marvel to behold. The statues that cover the entire front side of the cathedral are truly a work of art. The cathedral is never too busy, and the atmosphere inside is always one of respect. Inside, you will be immersed in the halls of this great site of worship, and the sheer architectural genius of the medieval churchmen who made this possible is something I always ponder when staring at the vast columns and arches of the gothic cathedral. Always worth a visit if you're in Lichfield - if not to go inside, at least to marvel from the outside.

A fantastic and poinient place to visit. It really gets you in the heart and I never knew how many regiments of the armed forces there are/was.
It's nice and flat, so you can either walk around or you can go on a road train.
I loved the memorial wall with every man and woman's name on it, of all of those who fought and died for our country, in every conflict.
The food was really nice, with a variety of food to choose from.

Supposed to visit the arboretum for the illuminations - rebooked for Tuesday 12th friends weee coming from 20 miles as it rained all day we assumed it may be cancelled, we tried to get in touch waited 15mins to get someone to answer the phone - when it did said they were busy and would get back to us the following day…to late, we decided because of the horrendous weather it would not be safe to attend. For a national organisation the communication is appalling, the arboretum itself is amazing, but think the people who run it need to have a rethink as it is definitely not up to the standard you’d expect, communication is poor, even on the desk people don’t seem to know what’s going on, perhaps the time has come to make it more professional, rather than depend on the army of untrained volunteers, who to be fair try their best.

Stunning building.
Unfortunately the seating used for the show we attended was very poor for adults. They were like school chairs and linked together which offered very little room.
No toilets available ( you can used toilets very nearby)

Although some of it was underwater we had an amazing day. The main monument is outstanding and you need several hours to look round.

Got the tickets for my wife and have to say up until the break we were enjoying the Candlelight Buble show and thought the artist was pretty bang on (remember your not seeing the actual artist at £200 a ticket).

Second show at the Cathedral and learned our lesson regarding temperature within the building at night so wrapped up for this one which was pleasantly warm sitting at the front, sitting at the back by the side door is a different story.

However, the drunken women trying to force people to get up in the second half did take away the shine. Alcohol should be banned from the cathedral.

The cathedral is exactly that, a beautiful 1,000+ year old building, yes the toilets are a 20 metre walk away and it can be cold, but the majesty of the surroundings makes up for this.
