Fabulous day out with our 5 year old granddaughter who was fascinated with all the memorials and finding her great great uncle's name on the wall.

A wonderful place and a whole lot bigger than i expected. A pleasure to walk around and view the various memorials, including a stretch next to the river too. Grounds immaculate and buildings and exhibition very modern. Cafe spacious with a great selection of food and drink. Staff really, really friendly and helpful. Plenty of toilets and all modern. Parking plentiful and we booked online parking prior to visiting. It is £2 extra to park if you pay on the day. Entry to the Arboretum is free and i am amazed that there is not an entry fee for this as i'm certain they'd still get many visitors. We left a donation. A fantastic place to visit if you want to reflect, enjoy a walk and enjoy the peace and quiet. Really easy to find just a mile off the A38.

What a great place - spent almost the whole day here. really lovely memorials to the fallen since the Second World War. Covers not only the armed services but various other organisations as well such as the Police Force, Fire Brigade etc.
This is where you will find the Shot at Dawn memorial to all those wrongly executed in the Great War.
All day place and great facilities - try the scone with butter and jam.

Worth a visit to admire the tremendous collection of fitting memorials that are spread out over beautifully manicured gardens. Easily make a day to take in the full extent of the display and truly worth the time.
