Had another visit but this time took the train, the commentary was very good, special mention to the knowledgeable volunteers dotted around who had a wealth of knowledge that they are eager to pass on, gives a personal touch

We visited on Sunday 13th March. Such a beautiful place to go and think about the pointlessness of wars and the many people who had lost their lives fighting for their country.
All the Arboretum staff were friendly and helpful apart from one woman in the

First trip out for long time. Arriving here was magical, the place is peaceful and staff friendly. You need to make sure you walk around everywhere you can, and read all about each section. So much history

Saddest part for me was the number of empty blocks on the main walls - obviously waiting for more names!

May not go again, as it is a good journey for us, but I can thoroughly recommend, and perhaps if we are passing we will call in.

This is the fourth year running Jon has returned to treat and clean our bricked patio and paths - that is how highly we rate his work. All the weeds and moss is gone (and will stay away for the summer), the colour of the bricks has been restored to its original glory and we are delighted with the results. Jon responds quickly to messages, arrives on time and carries out the work to a very high standard. It is a pleasure to deal with him and he always leaves us with a smile. Would definitely recommend.

First visit today with our 3 girls was a very spur of the moment visit and it didn't dissapoint, all 3 absolutely loved feeding the Alpaca's and ponies.
Jumping pillow and play area added that extra enjoyment, lovely local little farm we'll be sure to return to 🙂

Looking for and finding the name of a fallen comrade from Aden. It was a good feeling to see him remembered on this wonderful memorial along with all those others who served there and elsewhere and had not been as lucky as myself.
The whole site is beautifully maintained and presents an atmosphere of calm and tranquility due to its superb layout and the staff and volunteers were very helpful.

It is obvious that a great deal of thought and care has gone into the design, layout, and style of the various memorials that adorn the grounds to create a very special

Having been here a couple of times already this was a revisit due to the ever expanding number of monuments. It really is a peaceful reflective and informative place. The addition of enhanced facilities has made the difference, particularly with the cafe arrangements as these are very welcome after a long stroll. Entry to the Arboretum is free, but they are limiting the numbers and recommending pre-booking your visit to guarantee entry. The grounds are open from 10am – 4pm. Parking is an additional £4 but this can be paid for inside. Every year sees the dedication of new memorials at the Arboretum and the differences in the memorials and those commemorated are far greater than you might expect. I particularly liked the memorial to the Women's Land Army and the displaced children from the Second World War.

Once again Eddie has done an excellent job for us replacing and relocating the boiler. He and Karen always go the extra mile dealing with any queries we may have. We know we have a reliable service with them and this is something that we really value and is very important to us.
