A beautiful cathedral with a long history. It is well worth taking the tour as it makes the visit far more interesting and valuable. Our tour guide was Graham Black and his easy knowledgable style made a good visit great. Be generous with your donations and be sure to ask for them to be gift aided if you are a UK tax payer.

This is a very unusual cathedral as it has three spires. Particularly important are the Belgian stained glass windows and the St Chad gospel. The setting for the cathedral is lovely. There is no charge for entry although they are only too happy to receive a donation.

We visited Lichfield Cathedral not knowing what to expect but we were amazed by the beauty of the architecture. It is definitely worth taking some time out to visit the cathedral.

Excellent experience, the lights and music were lovely and a treat for Christmas. It was free to watch from outside but you could also pay to go inside to see the angel display which was a beautiful sight to behold.

This cathedral is in a Close that still has the advantage that you can drive around it. There is limited disabled parking which is useful and there is parking nearby , just a short walk across the road orbup from the city. You can sit on the grass or on the benches and have a picnic or there is a cafe in tbe Close with toilets. There is also Darwin House to visit in the Close. The cathedral itself is lovely both inside and out. My only complaint is that since I last visited they've put a cash register there abs although they don't necessarily charge you you have to wait in line for a ticket. I've visited a lot of cathedrals and one of the lovely things about Lichfield was the lack of this, which spoils the whole experience. I know cathedrals need funding but this is horrible. If you want to count the people coming in, have s volunteer with a counter, if you want to encourage people to put money gift aided in an envelope be creative. Get rid of the cash register v

Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. A breakfast so big it's unbelievable! Only downside is they do not serve evening meals but give you a voucher for 20% reduction on request for their sister hotel The George, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Busy road outside which does quieten down in the evening/night. Would definitely stay here again.

The shows they put on are very good. Done by small groups of players who play several parts during the show. If you go to one that includes a meal, then you find that food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
