Whilst you have probably seen this place on television, that doesn't prepare you for the reality. It has an excellent visitors centre with gives and staffing available and a cafeteria for lunch.

The grounds are extensive, with the many group memorial gardens arranged around the central memorial mound.

I recommend for a first visit that you take a trip on the land train to familiarise yourself with the lady out. I took the opportunity to place a memorial cross for my grandfather on the memorial to civilians killed in service during WW2.

To showdowns this place, allow a day for your visit!

Very interesting place. If you have any relatives who have been involved ask the staff and they will direct you to the correct memorial.

Free entry, just pay for parking. Set aside several hours to cover the whole site.

So much has changed as it has grown over the years. Looking at photos from when i first visited in 2016. It is an amazing place to visit, so much to see, can't see all in just 1 day. Would definitely recommend staying in a hotel and going for longer. Will be back in the very near future.

Absolutely amazing! This was a very humbling place to visit and there were a couple of suprises as we walked around. I don't think we have covered all of it and we were there for about 6 hours! Only thing I would recommend are a few more picnic tables rather than just benches.
