This is a lovely, tranquil place and a credit to the country. There are some beautiful memorials and trees. Very moving for military families and for people who have lost loved ones. You pay to park (£3.00 in July 2014) and then its free entry. Guide book £6.50 which is well worth it. Very nice restaurant and gift shop.

Free to enter, but all profits from the very good restaurant or souvenirs go towards the upkeep of this memorial Arboretum. Memories will be provoked from the areas from all forces from all over the world. Consider that there are some 15000 names on the central memorial, and these are only since the second world war. If you have connection with the forces or have had the misfortune to have lost someone in conflict, this is a must to visit.

Absolutely amazing place, spent all day here, too much to take in, easily accessible for wheelchair, pushchair, visually impaired , land train available for those who are unable to walk but would like to see the whole arboretum. Lovely coffee shop and restaurant at reasonable prices, I can recommend the scones 😀

I would highly recommend a visit here. The place is very well maintained and very moving. The self service cafe is great but we had booked a 3 course Sunday lunch which was served in a separate restaurant. The staff were amazing! Very professional and friendly. We got better service than in many good restaurants . The food was also delicious and well presented.

The Arboretum proved to be a memorable place to visit. We took the train round which we recommend as it was possible to see many of the memorials this way. After our tour there was time for a reflective visit to other memorials. We were sorry that disabilty scooters were not allows in the restaurant and we hope this will be rectified in the new building. The staff were helpful and apart from this problem the visit was excellent.

This is a wonderful place. The land train is well worth a ride. The arboretum is wonderfully laid out, the buildings are superb, the staff and volunteers helpful and the memorials beautiful and varied. The restaurant was really great too.
So glad we visited and will do so again.
Thanks to all who work there and who have been involved in bringing a concept to reality.

This was our third visit, the last one about six years ago. The place remains as wonderful as ever, it's been upgraded with a much better receptions, restaurant etc, The staff remain as helpful as ever.

A slight criticism would be that the restaurant is a bit chaotic but is was very busy.

If you have never visited, go. It is one of the great attractions in the UK.

Great to stroll around. Mobility scooters etc available - call to arrange. Also has a land train to use for a nominal fee, restaurant and cafe on site. As at September 2016 many improvements to facilities being made, so will be even better soon. Pay to park (incl. Blue badge) but this goes back to the upkeep and there's no charge to enter the site.

I would recommend visiting this Memorial Arboretum to everyone. There are memorials to all including e.g. the ambulance service and RNLI as well as those serving in the military. It's a fitting tribute to them all those who have lost their lives in the service of their country. A heart felt thank you to them all.
On a practical note the services available are excellent. There's a beautiful restaurant providing a great choice of food and drinks.
