Had our very first visit to the Arboretum yesterday and had to write a review. What an amazing place, was so nice to pay our respects to all the honoured services, the grounds and memorials are so well thought out and done so well, the grounds are so nice to walk round, the staff do a fantastic job and the 1940's celebration and songs made it an even special visit, this should be a place that everyone should go and a fantastic way to save our history and the memories of all that have passed away serving our country.
Well done to all involved.. ☆☆☆☆☆

I'm a Royal Navy Falklands War veteran and return regularly to the NMA to reflect and remember those affected by events then and ever since. On this occasion, my wife and I were accompanied by Friends who are Falkland Islanders and who experienced the horrors of what happened in 1982. My wife and two of our friends are disabled and we have a Blue Badge.
We booked our visit on 4th May to arrive at 1100 and arrived on time. The man on the entrance couldn't have been more obstructive or unhelpful if he had tried and he certainly tried hard enough! He told us that there were no Disabled Spaces left and that there was no spaces available for our vehicle. He told us that we would have to park in the secondary car park and walk back which I refused to do after pointing out that we had a Blue Badge and that I had disabled guests with me and also that the we had parked many times oin the main area without problems but Mr Jobsworth wasn't listening....I remembered then that we had experienced his attitude on previous visits.
He grudgingly said that I could drive in and drop my group off but then would need to go out to the other car park and walk back. I think not....so we drove in to find loads of empty Blue Badge spaces and the very next vehicle he let in after us was a VW Transporter, no Blue Badge.! He had told us bare faced lies which I wasn't prepared to tolerate. We parked up without difficulty and without taking up more than one space and went in where I asked to speak to the Duty Manager, Rachel. She came promptly, was very apologetic and helpful and said she would speak with the individual.
The rest of our visit went very well and we participated in the HMS Sheffield memorial event, the 4th May being the anniversary of her being attacked and I met some of the injured that I had cared for on the Hospital Ship Uganda.
Unfortunately, the individual at the entrance spoilt the day and the episode left a nasty taste in the mouth.
Hopefully we won't encounter him on 14th JUne, the anniversary of the liberation of the Falkland Islands.

Carl at Spires is a lifesaver! A sealed tin of paint spilled into the footwell of my pride and joy, and Carl managed (somehow) to get my car back to good as new. The attention to detail was incredible and, he worked so hard on it! I can’t recommend Spires Valeting enough.

Thank so much Carl!

This place is amazing! Absolutely brilliant.
There is so much to see. The sculptures are so interesting and poignant. The landscaping is beautiful.
I walked 6 miles here and still didn't see it all. There is a slow train people can use if they don't want to walk so much.
It's free entry but they take donations. The car parking is £4 if you pay in advance or £6 on the day. Such good value.
The cafe was a bit of a let down, pricey and the good mediocre. When I visited I had a hot turkey sandwich, which was like warm served on cheap bread with cold chips. When I go again I'll take a picnic. There are loads of nice place with picnic benches.
There's a ghost ship with lots of nice items for sale.
Definitely worth a visit or 3!

It was an amazing experience.. It is a beautiful place with all these different monuments, each having a unique history. The buggy driver told us all about the different monuments with a lot of zest and the kids enjoyed the stick man trail ❤️. A must go place on a beautiful sunny day.
