We probably wouldn't be able to build something like this today, a thing of wonder.

We only expected to stop by for an hour but stayed all day and still didn't see everything. All of the talks were especially interesting. Excellent car parking, toilets and catering.

A very peaceful environment, clean and perfect to reflect and remember. Staff are very helpful, especially when trying to locate comrades and friends. Cafe is nice as well as the shop for gifts. Try to go every year and it never gets boring. Definitely one for school or group trips. Totally recommend to go and visit.

Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but have to be on a lead and any mess cleaned up

In my view we have in the United Kingdom the finest cathedrals in the world and Lichfield stands high in the list. For a start, it is the only British catheral with three spires but the real magnificence is inside. Cloister-like passsages down ech side seem to go on forever and there is so much to read on the walls with the countless memorials. There is also a part of the building devoted to the history of the Staffordshire Regiment which was very interesting. All in all a beautiful building and well worth a visit.
