We visited on a Saturday lunch time and when we arrived the car park was extremely full and chaotic. However after finding a space and paying a very modest £3 to park, we entered the Arboretum (free admission; donations welcomed) and had a really tasty, reasonably priced lunch. The staff were very helpful and so pleasant; nothing was too much trouble.

As we had no particular memorial in mind to visit, we took the little road train and were so glad we had; it provided a very interesting insight and was a thoroughly enjoyable if somewhat sobering tour covering a large area of the grounds.

Although the car park and entrance area were extremely busy, once in the grounds it was very tranquil and calm. The church is well worth a visit and the guide book was very informative and absorbing.

Time flew by when we were there and we were glad we had plenty of time as with so much to see, a quick visit is unlikely to be very fruitful.

A fascinating experience and we will probably return in a couple of years to see how the grounds and trees have matured.

I was a bit nervous about starting yoga by myself so I went to one of the beginner sessions and never looked back.

They have a lovely little studio which is bright, airy and feels peaceful and calm. It even smells amazing. The teachers are all friendly and always suggest simpler variations for the more difficult poses to make the practice suitable for all levels. You are encouraged to only do what feels right for your body and can bring yourself into a resting pose if you feel you need to at any time. There is emphasis on the achievement you have made just by making it onto the mat and taking an hour out of your day or week to connect with yourself.

There are no mirrors, no one is looking at your bulges or worrying about what the person next to them is doing. If you’re struggling the teachers will quietly help you without it feeling like you’ve been singled out or told off for doing it wrong. No one is judging you. Remember: it’s called ‘yoga practice’ not ‘yoga perfect’.

At around £7 per session (monthly packages are available which may make it even cheaper) you've got nothing to lose.

So glad we used Franklins. They collected and delivered on time, without any fuss or worries and did us a big favour with early collection and storage. They have been efficient and friendly. Micheal and Simon were exceptional on delivery, on time, calm, capable and skilled in driving and manoeuvring the lorry. We had a worry free move, 5 stars!

Had a superb day on the Land train & walking around ,looking, inspecting & enjoying all the Memorials amongst the thousands of shrubs & trees, the river & grounds throughout.
We were fortunate to also have a wonderfully sunny day to do it all in.
The Cafeteria was well laid out & the Sunday Roast was excellent, very large servings & plentiful. Yorkshires to die for!
Staff were friendly, helpful & "not in your face". The £7 paid for the Land train was reasonable, a lot to see in Comfort & a description of all to see as you go slowly round.
Plenty of seating should you want to rest & survey.
Thank you to all the Volunteers.
