Been before but wanted to return to see the police memorial which was being built when I last came.love how peaceful it is and how every visit you find something new to see or read. I actually like that you wander at your own pace with some signposts but not every corner telling you where to go. I feel that adds to you not feeling you constantly have to check a map but can wander along the green spaces
I have to say sadly as an ex officer I found the new police memorial a little plain and uninspiring compared to others on the site. I love the beat wall and the modern sculptures but felt this one just didn’t say “policing” to me -however it’s lovely we have a space to pay respects to those fallen - I also loved the new ptsd model you could hold hands with
A place everyone should visit - so well kept (your gardening team and staff are awesome!) for £4 car parking it is a lovely few hours out and such a good way to teach children history as lots to see and understand through sculpture

Excellent. Would have liked a pamphlet or handout about new things not in the guide book.

A really moving experience. The park, arboretum and memorials are very well laid out. Our volunteer guide was knowledgeable and a great communicator. The tea rooms are well stocked and reasonably priced.

Such a beautiful place. Statues and memorials dedicated to people who served. Staff were lovely and there was a lot around if you wanted to ask questions or just to talk. They gave the impression they enjoyed being there. Beautiful walks. The Church in the grounds was amazing, well worth a look around.
Sadly the day went too quick so another visit is on the cards.
I would 100% recommend this
