What a lovely place! We visited today with our four year old and stayed for four hours. It looks small on arrival but there was so much to do. A great Easter programme throughout the day where my son could feed chickens, meet the reptiles, hold guinea pigs and feed the alpacas and llamas. All the animals/birds we saw were healthy in clean enclosures. The jumping pillow and play area were also great. Really friendly staff too. Will definitely return!

Four of us went for cooked breakfast recently and it was excellent.
Staff were friendly and chatty and food arrived in good time. Breakfasts were very nice. I had a veggie breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The other three had traditional cooked breakfast and they really enjoyed it.
Our first visit and we would certainly go back. In fact I’m looking forward to it. We also shopped in the butchers there and bought some meat etc which was very tasty.
Little gem of a find for us to be honest.

As a visitor from afar, I was captivated by the historic charm and intellectual legacy of this esteemed location, the birthplace of Samuel Johnson, pioneer of the inaugural English Dictionary. The guided tours of the meticulously preserved 1707 house offered a glimpse into the life and times of this literary luminary. Stepping through its doors felt akin to traversing the corridors of history itself. The experience was truly enriching, resonating with the essence of cultural enlightenment. A five-star rating is undoubtedly deserved for the invaluable insight and memorable journey through the annals of linguistic and literary achievement.

We went to see Graffiti Classics and it was magnificent. Our seats were perfect with no restriction to our view whatsoever. The Garrick is a lovely little theatre, welcoming and comfortable.

We like to try different places so this looked inviting. We were welcomed to a very busy atmosphere and a woman shouting have you booked? Mom is 78 and dad 82 with Alzheimers, I said no, she rolled her eyes and sighed heavily, stormed off, then came rushing back saying there's nothing and suggested we booked next time. Doubt we shall go back.

We went to the stick man event this week and it was brilliant. From the cinema film to the crafts to the walk. Kids 3 & 5 loved it. Big thank you for those who put the effort in the making a special event for half term in such a beautiful setting.
