The cathedral is well worth a visit if you're in Lichfield. It's the only one in England with three spires and is awe-inspiring. I'm not particularly religious, but the scale and history of the building is fascinating. They also do an "angel hunt" leaflet for small children, which helps to keep them occupied and interested - and helped me to notice more! The whole town is beautiful, and the tea rooms just across from the cathedral were very good too. Will remember this day for a long time

What an amazing history! We were lucky enough to get onto a guided tour and I can see how much you would miss if you just went round by yourselves.

This is a huge, and beautiful old building. Contains some relics. Learning about the history of the area and cathedral is fairly interesting. It has an interesting contrast of traditional and modern adaption. A hidden giant gem in quiet Lichfield.

Local sandstone thirteenth century Cathedral with three spires known as 'the ladies of the vale'. The West front is adorned with statues of biblical saints and Kings not unlike Wells Cathedral and tours are regular. Museum of the Staffordshire Hoard housed in the Chapter house. Entry is completely free and a Cathedral shop is within. Cafe and clean toilets are in the close. Parking is reserved within the confines of the close, but there is a short walk to the town car parks passed the lake. Statue to the Captain of the Titanic is park area near by.

Beautiful building that makes Lichfield stand apart from the other small towns outside of Birmingham.

Stunningly beautiful architecture with a great sense of history, I'm not a religious person, but this place has a real sense of calm and belonging.
